Crossbones, portrayed by actor Frank Grillo, is a villainous character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). A former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent named Brock Rumlow, he is corrupted and becomes a key operative of HYDRA.
His first appearance in the MCU was in *Captain America: The Winter Soldier* (2014), initially as Rumlow, a seemingly loyal member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. strike team STRIKE.
