Biography:
Brock Rumlow, portrayed by Frank Grillo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a vengeful operative known as Crossbones.
Rumlow first appears in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Strike Team, loyal to Captain America. However, he is secretly a HYDRA sleeper agent working to undermine S.H.I.E.L.D. from within.
Following the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D., Rumlow goes underground, resurfacing in Captain America: Civil War as Crossbones. Now equipped with armored battle gear and seeking revenge against Captain America, he leads a terrorist attack in Lagos.
His attempt to assassinate Captain America is thwarted by the intervention of the Scarlet Witch, resulting in an explosion that kills Rumlow but inadvertently causes collateral damage, contributing to the Sokovia Accords and the central conflict of Captain America: Civil War.
