Biography:
Brock Rumlow, known as Crossbones, is a formidable mercenary and antagonist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, played by actor Frank Grillo.
Initially a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative secretly working for Hydra, Rumlow played a significant role in the organization's infiltration and attempted takeover. He is shown to be a close confidant of Alexander Pierce and is later injured when Project Insight collapsed.
Reappearing in Captain America Civil War, Rumlow takes on the mantle of Crossbones, sporting a tactical battle suit and skull-like mask. He attempts to steal a biological weapon in Lagos, Nigeria, leading to a confrontation with the Avengers. His actions inadvertently trigger the events leading to the Sokovia Accords.
Crossbones is known for his ruthlessness, combat skills, and loyalty to Hydra. While his tenure in the MCU was brief, he left a lasting impact as a formidable threat to Captain America and the Avengers, even appearing in flashback sequences in later MCU properties. He also appears in Lego Marvel Avengers as a playable character.
