Victor Von Doom, known as Dr. Doom, first appeared in Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962). He is a Latverian monarch and supervillain, often depicted as one of the most intelligent and dangerous individuals in the Marvel Universe.
Doom's origin stems from a brilliant scientific mind coupled with a tragic accident during an experiment attempting to contact his deceased mother. This resulted in facial scarring that he hides behind an iron mask and suit of armor.
Driven by a thirst for power and a belief in his own superiority, Dr. Doom's primary goal is world domination. He frequently clashes with the Fantastic Four, whom he blames for his disfigurement, as well as other superheroes.
Beyond his intellect and armor, Doom also wields mystical abilities, making him a formidable opponent on multiple fronts. He rules Latveria with an iron fist, claiming to act in the best interests of his people.
