Victor Von Doom, better known as Doctor Doom, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He is typically depicted as the archenemy of the Fantastic Four, though he has clashed with numerous other Marvel heroes.

Born in Latveria to a Romani mother and a father who was a doctor, Doom's early life was marked by tragedy. His mother was killed by Mephisto after striking a deal with him. Doom later sought to master both science and sorcery to protect his people and avenge her death.

During his studies in the United States, Doom conducted a dangerous experiment intended to communicate with the dead. The experiment went awry, scarring his face and leading to his expulsion. Blaming Reed Richards for sabotaging his work, Doom retreated to Tibet where he forged his iconic suit of armor.

Upon his return to Latveria, he overthrew the monarchy and established himself as its ruler. A brilliant scientist, sorcerer, and tactician, Doctor Doom is driven by his ambition to dominate the world and reshape it in his own image. His immense intellect is matched only by his ego and unwavering belief in his own superiority.
