Psylocke is a Marvel Comics character, primarily associated with the X-Men.
Betsy Braddock, first appeared in Captain Britain #8 (December 1976) but would take on the name Psylocke. Initially, she was a supporting character, a telepathic and precognitive mutant.
Her backstory includes being the sister of Captain Britain. A major turning point involved a body swap, resulting in Betsy's mind inhabiting the body of a Japanese ninja assassin. This transformation granted her enhanced martial arts skills and a psionic katana, solidifying her iconic look and fighting style. She is an important part of the X-Men franchise.
