Oroku Saki, known as Shredder, is the main antagonist in many iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. This version of Shredder first appeared in the 1987 TMNT cartoon series.
He is the leader of the Foot Clan, a criminal organization of ninjas and thieves. Shredder is a master martial artist, skilled in ninjutsu, and often depicted wearing bladed armor.
His main goal is usually to either conquer the world or eliminate the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their sensei, Splinter, with whom he shares a long and bitter rivalry stemming from events in their past.
