Oroku Saki, known primarily as Shredder, is the main antagonist in the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. He first appeared in the show's premiere episode, "Things Change, Part 1."
In this iteration, Shredder is not human but rather an Utrom, an alien being from Dimension X. He is the most wanted criminal in the galaxy, known as Ch'rell, who crashed on Earth centuries ago. He constructed the Shredder armor and adopted the Oroku Saki persona to establish a criminal empire.
His criminal organization, the Foot Clan, is a formidable force, technologically advanced and highly disciplined. Shredder's primary goal is conquest and domination, and he poses a constant threat to the Turtles and the safety of New York City.
