Biography:
Duke Thomas is a character appearing in DC Comics, primarily associated with the Batman family.
He first appeared in Batman #21 (2013) as a civilian caught in the events of "Zero Year." Duke later becomes a key player in Gotham's vigilante scene, initially as a member of a youth gang inspired by Robin.
Eventually, Duke becomes a daytime protector of Gotham, operating under the code name Lark, and utilizing his developing metahuman abilities. His powers are linked to the mysteries of the Dark Multiverse and manipulating shadows/light.
Unlike many of Batman's proteges, Duke's role is as a daytime hero, and he is not Robin, but is a hero finding his own path.
