Duke Thomas is a DC Comics character who first appeared in *Batman* Vol. 2 #21 (2013) during the "Zero Year" storyline.
He is a young man who lived in Gotham City and was initially involved in street racing. His parents, later discovered to be victims of the Joker's mind control during "Endgame," disappeared. This event led Duke to become involved with Batman.
Duke is noteworthy for eventually becoming a daytime superhero, operating under the alias of Lark. He has unique abilities linked to the energies from various villains. He is positioned as a new kind of hero with powers distinct from the traditional Bat-Family.
