Biography:

White Tiger is a mantle held by multiple characters in Marvel Comics. The first White Tiger was Hector Ayala, who gained his powers from mystical amulets. He debuted in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu #19 (1975).

Hector was the first superhero of Latino descent. Donning the amulets granted him enhanced strength, speed, stamina, and agility. He was a skilled martial artist, using these abilities to fight crime.

Subsequent White Tigers have included Hector's sister Ava Ayala and others. Each has had a connection to the Tiger amulets, which grant the wearer their abilities.

The most well-known incarnation of White Tiger is Ava Ayala who has appeared in various Marvel TV shows, cartoons and games. She gained her powers from the Tiger Amulets and uses her martial arts skills to fight crime. The character appeared in the Ultimate TV Show cartoon and the Marvel vs Capcom series.
