Hyperion is the name of several characters appearing in Marvel Comics, most notably, versions who are pastiches of Superman.
The first Hyperion, , debuted in The Avengers #69 (October 1969). This Hyperion, a member of the Squadron Sinister, was created by the Grandmaster to battle the Avengers. This Hyperion was later revealed to be Zhib-Ran, an Eternal exiled from Earth.
A more prominent version of Hyperion, , is from Earth-712 and a member of the Squadron Supreme. He is orphaned as an infant when his parents send him to Earth in a spacecraft before their planet is destroyed. He possesses immense strength, flight, and heat vision, among other abilities. He believes in doing good and strives to be a hero.
Other notable Hyperions, , include those from different realities within the Marvel Multiverse, often sharing similar origins and powers but differing in their moral compass and experiences.
