Darth Malak was a prominent Sith Lord in the Star Wars Legends continuity, first appearing in the video game *Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic* (2003).
Originally a Jedi Knight named Alek, he served alongside Revan during the Mandalorian Wars. Both he and Revan ventured into the Unknown Regions, falling to the dark side of the Force and becoming Sith Lords.
As Darth Malak, he served as Revan's apprentice, launching a brutal war against the Galactic Republic. After Revan disappeared, Malak seized control of the Sith Empire.
He sought to crush the Republic using the Star Forge, an ancient Rakatan superweapon, but was ultimately defeated and killed by Revan in a final confrontation.
