Darth Malak was a prominent Sith Lord in the Star Wars Legends continuity, serving as Darth Revan's apprentice and later becoming the Dark Lord of the Sith himself.
Born Alek Squinquargesimus, he was a powerful Jedi Knight who fought alongside Revan in the Mandalorian Wars. Deeply affected by the conflict's horrors, both he and Revan ventured into the Unknown Regions and were seduced by the dark side.
As Revan's apprentice, Malak embraced the title Darth Malak and aided Revan in establishing a new Sith Empire. His ruthlessness and brutality were unmatched, even within the Sith ranks.
Malak eventually betrayed Revan, attempting to seize control of the Sith Empire for himself. He became Dark Lord of the Sith and launched an offensive against the Galactic Republic in the Jedi Civil War.
Known for his distinctive cybernetic jaw, a consequence of Revan's attack on him, Malak employed dark side techniques and superweapons like the Star Forge in his campaign. He was ultimately defeated and killed by a redeemed Revan aboard the Star Forge.
