Gamora, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, is a key member of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Orphaned as a child after Thanos wiped out half her people, the Zen-Whoberis, she was raised and trained as an assassin by the Mad Titan. She became known as the "Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy."
Growing disillusioned with Thanos's cruelty, Gamora defected and sought to prevent him from obtaining the Infinity Stones. She first appeared in the film *Guardians of the Galaxy* (2014).
Her knowledge of the stones and Thanos's plans made her a target, and she ultimately sacrificed herself to prevent him from acquiring the Soul Stone. However, a Gamora from an alternate timeline was brought to the present, existing without any prior association with the Guardians.
