Biography:

Mac Gargan, better known as Scorpion, is a Marvel Comics supervillain primarily associated with Spider-Man. He began his career as a private investigator hired by J. Jonah Jameson to uncover Spider-Man's secret identity.

Frustrated with his lack of progress, Gargan agreed to undergo an experimental procedure that would imbue him with the characteristics of a scorpion. The procedure, financed by Jameson and conducted by Dr. Farley Stillwell, was successful in granting Gargan superhuman strength, speed, and agility, along with a powerful mechanical tail.

However, the experiment also severely impacted Gargan's sanity, driving him to madness. He developed a deep hatred for both Spider-Man, whom he blames for his transformation, and J. Jonah Jameson, for his role in initiating the experiment.

Over the years, Scorpion has been a persistent threat to Spider-Man, often joining forces with other supervillains. He has also been a member of various villainous teams, including the Sinister Twelve and the Thunderbolts, sometimes against his will. His unstable mental state and powerful abilities make him a dangerous and unpredictable adversary.
