Biography:

The Pig is an Animal mob in the Game Minecraft. First appearing in Java Edition Classic 0.0.0 (the first version of Minecraft), it's a common, passive creature found in grassy biomes.

Pigs are pink, quadrupedal creatures with a rounded snout and a curly tail. They passively wander around, oinking occasionally. Their primary purpose is to provide raw porkchops upon being killed, which can be cooked for food.

Players can also equip a saddle onto a Pig and ride it, guiding its movement with a Carrot on a Stick. This provides a means of transportation, although it is not very efficient.

Beyond their basic function, Pigs are also notable for being the base model used for Piglins, hostile creatures found in the Nether dimension. Furthermore, they can be transformed into Zombie Pigmen (later renamed Zombified Piglins) when struck by lightning.
