Galactus is a cosmic entity within the Marvel Universe, driven by an insatiable hunger for energy.
Originating from the planet Taa in a previous universe, Galactus was originally a humanoid named Galan. He was transformed during the universe's dying moments by the "Cosmic Egg," absorbing the energy of his reality and merging with the Sentience of the Universe. He gestated for eons, eventually emerging as Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds.
