Biography:
Rex Mason, also known as Metamorpho, is a superhero from DC Comics. He first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #57 (January 1965).
A treasure hunter, Mason was transformed during an expedition to Egypt where he was exposed to the Orb of Ra. This exposure granted him the ability to transmute his body into any element or combination of elements found in the human body and the Earth's crust.
While he gained incredible powers, Metamorpho's transformation also left him with a grotesque appearance, which he initially struggled to accept. Despite his appearance, he uses his abilities to fight crime and protect the innocent, often partnering with other heroes.
