Biography:
Rex Mason was an adventurer transformed into Metamorpho, the Element Man, by exposure to a meteorite in an Egyptian pyramid. The Orb of Ra imbued him with the ability to transmute his body into any element or combination of elements found in the human body or the Earth's crust.
This transformation granted him incredible powers. He can shapeshift, become incredibly strong or durable, fly, and manipulate his elemental composition for various offensive and defensive purposes. For instance, he could turn his fist into diamond or create a cloud of poisonous gas.
Despite his powers, Metamorpho considers his transformation a curse due to his monstrous appearance and the difficulty in maintaining a normal life. He has frequently worked as an adventurer, often partnered with other heroes, and has been a member of teams like the Outsiders and the Justice League, always struggling with his unique predicament.
