Jor-El was a brilliant scientist on the planet Krypton. Widely respected within Kryptonian society, he foresaw the planet's imminent destruction due to the instability of its core, caused by excessive energy extraction.

Despite his warnings, the Kryptonian Science Council dismissed his theories, refusing to believe such a catastrophic event was possible. Undeterred, Jor-El dedicated himself to saving his infant son, Kal-El, from the impending doom.

Using his advanced scientific knowledge, Jor-El constructed a rocket ship, a vessel capable of traversing interstellar distances. He placed Kal-El inside, sending him to Earth moments before Krypton's destruction.

Though Jor-El perished along with his planet, his foresight and actions ensured the survival of his son, who would later become Superman, protector of Earth and a symbol of hope inspired by his father's legacy.
