Using his scientific prowess, he constructed a spacecraft capable of interstellar travel. He placed Kal-El within the ship, programming it to journey to Earth. There, under a yellow sun, his son would possess extraordinary powers and a chance at survival.

As Krypton crumbled around him, Jor-El and his wife, Lara Lor-Van, perished in the cataclysm. However, their sacrifice ensured the survival of their son, who would become known as Superman, a symbol of hope for his adopted world.
