Namor is a mutant, introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He is the ruler of Talokan, an underwater civilization descended from an ancient Mayan community forced to adapt to the ocean to survive.
Driven by a fierce desire to protect his people from the surface world's exploitation and discovery, Namor views Wakanda as a potential ally, but also a threat. He is willing to do anything, including engaging in conflict, to secure Talokan's safety and maintain its secrecy.
