Killer Klowns are the extraterrestrial antagonists from the 1988 cult classic film, "Killer Klowns from Outer Space." They resemble circus clowns, but are malevolent creatures with a dark sense of humor and lethal methods.
Originating from the planet Klownatron, they arrive on Earth in a giant circus tent-shaped spaceship. Their purpose is to harvest humans for food, which they accomplish using clown-themed weapons and traps. These include shadow puppets that eat people, popcorn guns loaded with acidic kernels, and cotton candy cocoons.
The Klowns possess superhuman strength, durability, and a variety of bizarre abilities tied to their clown personas. They are led by Jojo the Klownzilla, the largest and most terrifying of the Klowns.
Although primarily known for their film appearance, Killer Klowns have also appeared in video games, comics and are a favorite theme for Halloween attractions. Their grotesque designs and over-the-top violence have solidified their place in pop culture as iconic horror movie monsters.
