Kabuto Yakushi is a prominent antagonist in the Naruto Shippuden anime series. He first appears during the Chunin Exams arc of the original Naruto, acting as an ally and information gatherer for Orochimaru.

Orphaned and raised in an orphanage associated with Konohagakure, Kabuto was initially a spy for various organizations, including the Hidden Leaf Village. He later became a loyal follower of Orochimaru, assisting in his experiments and learning medical ninjutsu.

Following Orochimaru's death at the hands of Sasuke Uchiha, Kabuto integrates Orochimaru's DNA into himself. This grants him increased power and unique abilities, including the Sage Transformation, allowing him to manipulate nature energy and use techniques from Orochimaru and the Sound Five.

Kabuto plays a significant role in the Fourth Great Ninja War, utilizing the Impure World Reincarnation technique to revive powerful deceased ninja and wage war against the Allied Shinobi Forces. He seeks to surpass Orochimaru and prove his own strength.
