Kabuto Yakushi is a complex character in the Naruto series, initially introduced as a loyal aide to Orochimaru. He possesses extensive medical knowledge and serves as a skilled spy and tactician. His past is shrouded in mystery, having been found as an orphan by Nono Yakushi and raised at an orphanage affiliated with Konohagakure's Root organization.

Kabuto's loyalty to Orochimaru stems from a manipulated past, believing he owed his identity to the Sannin. He faithfully carries out Orochimaru's plans, often engaging in espionage, infiltration, and medical experimentation. He is a skilled manipulator, capable of deceiving and exploiting others to achieve his objectives.

Following Orochimaru's death, Kabuto seeks to overcome his perceived lack of self and power by mastering Orochimaru's techniques and absorbing his chakra. He develops the Impure World Reincarnation technique to a refined level, becoming a major antagonist in the Fourth Shinobi World War. He eventually overcomes his inner turmoil through interactions with Naruto and Itachi, finding redemption and ultimately dedicating himself to caring for war orphans.
