Space Wolves, also known as the Vlka Fenryka or Russ's Wolves, are a prominent Space Marine Chapter in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. They are ferocious warriors known for their independent spirit and savage combat doctrines.

Their Primarch is Leman Russ, a figure steeped in Norse mythology and bestial ferocity. Russ disappeared during the Horus Heresy, leaving the Chapter with a deep-seated yearning for his return. This yearning fuels their warlike nature and unique traditions.

The Space Wolves are recruited from the harsh, feral world of Fenris. Aspirants undergo brutal trials to prove their worth and resilience before being inducted into the Chapter's ranks. They retain many Fenrisian customs, including a strong emphasis on pack loyalty and a preference for close-quarters combat.

Unlike most Space Marine Chapters, the Space Wolves embrace their feral nature, often sporting long hair and beards and utilizing wolf-like creatures as companions. They are fiercely loyal to the Imperium, but their methods are often viewed with suspicion by more orthodox Chapters due to their perceived lack of discipline and embrace of superstition.
