Grogu, often referred to as "Baby Yoda" by fans, is a central character in the Disney+ live-action Star Wars television series, The Mandalorian. He is a Force-sensitive being of the same species as Jedi Grand Master Yoda.
Grogu first appeared in the premiere episode of The Mandalorian, titled "Chapter 1," which debuted in 2019. He is around 50 years old, yet still appears as an infant due to his species' exceptionally long lifespan.
Throughout the series, Grogu is protected and cared for by the Mandalorian bounty hunter, Din Djarin. His Force abilities make him a target for remnants of the fallen Galactic Empire. The series follows their journey as they evade capture and seek to reunite Grogu with his own kind.
