Biography:
Yellowjacket is a Marvel Comics character associated with Hank Pym. Pym, a brilliant scientist, has used the Yellowjacket identity at different points in his life. He first appeared as Yellowjacket in The Avengers #59 (1968).
The Yellowjacket persona represents a more aggressive and unstable side of Pym, often emerging during periods of mental or emotional distress. While in this state, he can be impulsive and prone to making rash decisions. His costume is equipped with technology, including the ability to shrink or grow in size, and bio-stinger like appendages.
At times, Pym has embraced the Yellowjacket identity, believing it to be a more effective and heroic version of himself. However, the inherent instability of the persona often leads to negative consequences, causing conflict with his fellow Avengers and further fracturing his already fragile mental state. The Yellowjacket persona is often a sign that Hank is experiencing a mental break.
