Robert "Bobby" Drake, also known as Iceman, is a mutant superhero appearing in Marvel Comics. One of the original members of the X-Men, Iceman possesses the power of cryokinesis, allowing him to manipulate temperature and create ice. He can lower his body temperature, encasing himself in ice and projecting ice blasts.

Bobby's powers manifested in his teenage years when he used them to defend himself from bullies. Fearful of his abilities, local townsfolk alerted the authorities, leading to a confrontation with Cyclops and Marvel Girl, the first members recruited by Professor Charles Xavier. Xavier recruited Bobby to his School for Gifted Youngsters, forming the core of the X-Men.

Throughout his history, Iceman has struggled with mastering the full extent of his abilities. Over time, his control and power levels have dramatically increased, revealing him to be an Omega-level mutant with the potential to freeze the entire planet. He has served with various X-Men teams, Defenders, and Champions. Iceman is also known for his humor and often lighthearted demeanor, although he can become serious when the situation demands it. In more recent times, Iceman has come to terms with his homosexuality, adding another layer of complexity to his character.
