Victor Von Doom, also known as Dr. Doom, is a brilliant but arrogant Latverian monarch and one of Marvel Comics' most iconic villains. Born to a Roma community under the rule of King Vladimir, Doom's father was a renowned healer who died protecting their people. His mother was a sorceress killed in a bargain with Mephisto.
Driven by vengeance and a thirst for knowledge, Doom mastered both science and magic. He attended Empire State University, where he met Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic). Doom's hubris led to a catastrophic experiment involving an attempt to contact the afterlife, leaving him scarred. He blamed Richards for the failure.
Donning a suit of armor and a metallic mask to conceal his disfigurement, he established himself as the absolute ruler of Latveria. Doom strives for world domination, believing that humanity needs his iron fist to guide it to utopia. His intelligence rivals that of Reed Richards, and his magical abilities make him a formidable foe. He frequently clashes with the Fantastic Four and other heroes, viewing them as obstacles to his grand vision.
