Hoshigaki Kisame is a character from the anime and manga series Naruto Shippuden. He first appears in episode 81 of the anime.

Kisame was a shinobi from Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He later defected and joined the Akatsuki, becoming partners with Itachi Uchiha.

Known as the "Monster of the Hidden Mist," Kisame possessed immense chakra reserves and wielded the sentient sword Samehada, which absorbed chakra from opponents. His fighting style revolved around water-based ninjutsu and brute strength.

Kisame was fiercely loyal to his own twisted sense of justice and often questioned Itachi's motives, though he always followed his orders. He ultimately sacrifices himself to prevent information about Akatsuki from being leaked to the Allied Shinobi Forces.
