Roman Soldiers in the Asterix comic series are not individual, named characters in the traditional sense. They are ubiquitous, serving as legionaries tasked with maintaining order and attempting to conquer Gaul, specifically the indomitable village of Asterix and Obelix.

These soldiers are generally portrayed as competent and obedient, following orders without question. They are often depicted in full Roman military attire, including helmets, armor, and shields. However, they are consistently outmatched by the strength potion brewed by Getafix, which renders Asterix and Obelix superhumanly strong.

Despite their training and superior numbers, Roman Soldiers are frequently routed, humiliated, and sent flying by the Gauls' antics.
