Victor Von Doom, known as Doctor Doom, is a brilliant Latverian scientist and monarch who first appeared in Fantastic Four #5 (July 1962). Fueled by a thirst for power and a deep-seated ego, Doom is one of Marvel's most iconic villains.

His origins trace back to a Romani mother persecuted by Latverian authorities, a resentment that shaped his later rule. Doom's scientific genius, combined with mastery of the mystic arts, makes him a formidable adversary.

A failed experiment involving a machine meant to contact the dead left Doom scarred and bitter. He blames Reed Richards for the accident, fueling a lifelong rivalry. Donning a suit of powered armor and a metal mask, he became Doctor Doom, ruler of Latveria and a constant threat to the world.
