Biography:
Illyana Rasputina, known as Magik, is a powerful mutant sorceress from Marvel Comics, first appearing in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975) as a child and later as Magik in Uncanny X-Men #160 (1982).
Sister to Colossus, Illyana was kidnapped and taken to Limbo, a demonic dimension, where she was corrupted and her mutant teleportation powers grew exponentially. She learned sorcery under the tutelage of Belasco, the demonic ruler of Limbo.
In Limbo, Illyana forged the Soulsword from a piece of her own soul, a weapon that disrupts magic and can harm mystical beings. She also developed demonic features like horns and hooves based on how often she used dark magic.
Magik eventually escaped Limbo, aged significantly, and joined the New Mutants, wielding her powers to teleport herself and others across vast distances and dimensions. Despite her demonic influence, she fights alongside the X-Men, balancing her dark side with her desire to do good.
