Biography:
Illyana Rasputina, known as Magik, is a mutant character from Marvel Comics. She first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 in 1975, though her powers manifested later.
Illyana is the younger sister of Colossus. As a child, she was kidnapped and taken to Limbo, a demonic dimension. There, she ages rapidly and learns sorcery under the tutelage of the demon Belasco.
After spending years in Limbo, she returns to Earth physically younger, but possessing vast magical abilities, including teleportation. She also wields the Soulsword, a weapon forged from her own soul, and develops metal armor as a result of Limbo's influence.
Magik became a member of the New Mutants, using her powers to assist the team.
