Pennywise is a malevolent, shapeshifting entity originating from Stephen King's Horror novel, "It." While existing in various forms, Pennywise most commonly appears as a clown to lure children, its preferred prey. It feeds on their fears, amplifying anxieties into terrifying manifestations.
Pennywise's first screen appearance was in the Horror TV movie "It" (1990), portrayed by Tim Curry. The character was later famously played by Bill Skarsgård in the recent "It" movie adaptations (2017 and 2019).
