Pennywise, also known as "It," is a shapeshifting entity and the primary antagonist created by Stephen King in the horror novel It.
Pennywise's most recognizable form is that of a clown, used to lure children to their doom. This guise is adapted to prey on individual fears, making him a terrifying and deeply personal horror.
