Biography:
Nathan Summers, better known as Cable, is a complex character from Marvel Comics. He first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men #201 (January 1986) as a baby, and later as an adult in The New Mutants #87 (March 1990).
Cable is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey). As a baby, he was infected with a techno-organic virus by Apocalypse, which threatened to consume him. To save his life, he was sent to the future where he could be cured and trained to eventually return and prevent Apocalypse's rise.
He returned to the present as a hardened warrior from the future, possessing both telepathic and telekinetic powers, though these are constantly strained to keep the techno-organic virus in check. Cable is often depicted leading teams like X-Force, driven by his mission to safeguard the timeline and prevent dystopian futures.
