Nathan Summers, also known as Cable, is a character from Marvel Comics. He first appeared in *The New Mutants* #87 (March 1990). He is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey) from the future.
Nathan was infected with a techno-organic virus as an infant by Apocalypse. To save his life, he was sent to the future, where he could be cured and trained to defeat Apocalypse.
As Cable, he returns to the present to prevent the rise of Apocalypse and protect the timeline. He is a powerful mutant with telepathic and telekinetic abilities, enhanced by advanced technology from the future.
