Biography:

Cable is a Marvel Comics character originating from a possible future timeline. He is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey), born Nathan Summers.

In his infancy, Nathan was infected with a techno-organic virus by the villain Apocalypse. To save him, he was sent to the future, where he was cured and trained to become a warrior.

Cable travels back to the present to prevent a dark future. He is known for his advanced weaponry, cybernetic enhancements, and telepathic/telekinetic abilities.

His first appearance was in *The Uncanny X-Men* #201 (January 1986) although that wasn't his proper appearance. His debut was in *The New Mutants* #87 (March 1990). He is a prominent figure in the X-Men universe.
