Biography:
Deadman, created by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, first appeared in *Strange Adventures* #205 (October 1967). He is the spectral form of Boston Brand, a circus trapeze artist murdered during a performance.
Brand was assassinated by a mysterious sniper, but immediately after death was given the power to possess any living being by the Hindu god Rama Kushna. This power allows him to seek justice for his own murder and combat various threats, but only while inhabiting a living host.
As Deadman, Brand retains the skills and memories of those he possesses, but the host is largely unaware of his presence. He is also able to phase through solid objects and is effectively immortal unless Rama Kushna revokes his powers.
