Rory Williams, often known as "The Last Centurion," was a companion of the Eleventh Doctor in the BBC television series Doctor Who. Originally Amy Pond's childhood friend and later her husband, Rory's defining moment came in the Series 5 episode "The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang."

During this storyline, Rory was seemingly killed by a Silurian and then brought back as a Roman Auton, a sentient plastic duplicate. He was tasked with guarding the Pandorica, a prison meant to contain the Doctor. He remained steadfastly at his post for nearly two thousand years, protecting the Pandorica and, unknowingly, a trapped Amy Pond.

This extraordinary act of unwavering loyalty earned him the title "The Last Centurion." Although Rory eventually regained his humanity, his time as an Auton cemented his reputation as a fiercely dedicated and incredibly patient protector. He continued to travel with the Doctor and Amy, facing numerous dangers throughout time and space until their final, permanent departure from the TARDIS after being touched by Weeping Angels.
