Bart Allen, also known as Impulse, is a speedster from the future in the DC Comics universe. He first appeared in *The Flash* #91 (June 1994).
Born in the 30th century to Meloni Thawne and Don Allen, Bart inherited his grandfather Barry Allen's speedster abilities. His accelerated metabolism caused him to age rapidly, leading to an impulsive and hyperactive personality.
To control his speed and aging, Bart was placed in a virtual reality simulator. When this method proved insufficient, Iris West took him to the present, where Wally West, the Flash, helped him gain control of his powers.
Adopting the name Impulse, Bart became a member of Young Justice and later the Teen Titans. He often struggles with his impulsiveness and learning to use his powers responsibly.
