The Foot Soldier is a common enemy in the TMNT universe, serving the villain Shredder and the Foot Clan. They are ninjas, often depicted as highly skilled in martial arts, but easily defeated in large numbers by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In the 1987 animated TMNT series, the Foot Soldiers were robotic in nature, meaning the Turtles could destroy them without moral qualms. These robotic versions are perhaps the most widely recognised.
