Biography:
The Foot Soldier is a recurring character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise, functioning as the generic infantry for the Foot Clan. They are ninjas trained in martial arts, loyal to the villainous Shredder.
Often depicted as faceless and easily defeated, the Foot Soldiers serve primarily as fodder for the Turtles to battle. Their uniform typically consists of a dark purple or black body suit.
In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, the Foot Soldiers are robotic, making them easier for the Turtles to destroy without moral qualms. Their first appearance was in the very first episode of the cartoon series.
