Biography:
The Foot Soldier is a recurring, largely anonymous, character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise. Serving as the rank-and-file warriors of the Foot Clan, they are typically portrayed as highly skilled ninjas but are easily defeated en masse by the Turtles.
The Foot Soldiers first appeared in the 1987 TMNT cartoon series. Under the command of Shredder, they were initially depicted as robotic soldiers, built by Baxter Stockman and programmed to obey Shredder's orders. This made them expendable and less threatening to a younger audience.
