Darth Maul is a prominent antagonist from the Star Wars prequels, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
He is a Zabrak from Dathomir, trained as a Sith Lord by Darth Sidious. His allegiance to the Sith is symbolized by his distinctive red and black tattooed skin, and his use of a double-bladed lightsaber.
