Reed Richards, better known as Mr. Fantastic, is a founding member of the Fantastic Four. He is a brilliant scientist and inventor, possessing the power to stretch, deform, and reshape his body at will. Mr. Fantastic first appeared in *Fantastic Four* #1 (November 1961) alongside the rest of his team: Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and the Thing. He gained his powers after being exposed to cosmic rays during an unauthorized space flight.
As the leader of the Fantastic Four, Reed is responsible for guiding the team through countless battles and adventures.
