Biography:
Chen Lu, a Chinese physicist, is the character known as Radioactive Man. Driven by ambition and resentment towards the West, he deliberately subjected himself to intense radiation during an experiment. This transformed him into a being capable of generating and manipulating radiation.
Radioactive Man first appeared in Journey into Mystery #93 (June 1963). Initially a villain, he frequently clashed with Thor.
He has been associated with the Thunderbolts, undergoing periods of both heroic aspiration and villainous relapse. His unstable nature and the inherent dangers of his powers have often made him a complex and unpredictable character.
